morning shave

silent shadows move across the wall
keeping time with the rhythmic swishing
of the badger hair brush, foaming shave
cream in a palmed ceramic mug. the
warm scent of sandalwood lingers long
after his straight razor is rinsed and
his morning ritual complete.

Excellent snapshot of a quiet moment - perfectly done.

I use a badger brush and shaving mug with soap. I can't quite bring myself to use a straight razor...

Still, this resonates with me. I enjoy the process of shaving and this is a well done poem...

Thank you, Thank you!
My man just started shaving with a straight razor. And while I freaked at the idea at first, I LOVE the results!
