tangible

they stayed up late
wearing out their eyes
amid growing chills
and the gathering dusk
their talk painting dreams
held onto for, one-day
and against a starry night sky
someday, seemed so much closer
more tangible, than today

Oh, this is good. I can see them talking, sharing hopes and dreams, making plans...

someday seemed more tangible, than today...perhaps in that there is hope, that tomorrow is just a bit better...

Mmmmm, yes - this is very evocative. I really like "their talk painting dreams." Lovely imagery.

I picture new love in this poem - trying its best to try and make a happy ending. Very well done.

There is hope....much hope!
The funny thing is, I drafted this poem awhile back but never published it. Going through the drafts yesterday I stumbled across this poem ~ so perfect for where I am right now. It was so powerfully prophetic, the knowing in these words before this day had even arrived!
